In a world of all the greys
There's no black, there's no white
When there is no universal book
Who’s to say who’s right
You didn’t believe enough, it was nobody’s fault
The mind once used to be free is now cocooned in a vault
Acceptance is the secret, you should’ve followed
Without hope or faith, death is what you swallowed
Hate to hate, but have to hate
There is no turning now; guess it’s too late
You call it the devil, you call it my fate
Or maybe a drunken angel failing to relate
Living alone day in day out
Smile was a sin and so was to shout
Lying down low, all through the life
It’s now here to stay, you may cut it with a knife
The darkness of the soul is not evil as yet
A bit of humanity is still there somewhere left
The lost time, the lost breath, you know will never come back
The evil won’t leave you now; you may try to trace the track
I hate to hate but I just have to hate
There is no turning now; I guess it’s too late
You call it the devil, you call it my fate
Or maybe a drunken angel failing to relate
